Government not adapting to increase in concealed permit applications

Part of the permit application process is the electronic scanning of applicant’s fingerprints, which is performed by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office for a fee of $42.25. Tennessee Governor Says He Will Veto Bill That Allows Guns In Bars

Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen says he intends to veto a bill to allow state handgun permit holders to take their weapons into bars and other establishments serving alcohol. Legislative leaders are predicting an override, however.
