Why are you trying to push only 5 states out of the 50 that we have as the law of the land? Sure NC restrictions suck, but this isn’t the only state thats like this. lots are even worse, take CA and NY for example. Be careful when you tell people it’s ok to do something when its only ok to do it in like 5 states out of the 50. better to be safe than sorry. If i didn’t know any better and listened to you, and got searched by the cops i could be going to jail right now.

What about the other 44 states? The point i’m making is you can’t say YOU CAN CARRY A CONCEALED KNIFE AS BACKUP, MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW THIS!!! It very well might be true where you’re from, but it’s not the same for every state in the union. maybe you should say, IN SOME STATES IT’S LEGAL TO CARRY ANYTHING YOU WANT CONCEALED AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A LICENSE AND CHECK STATE LAWS BEFORE YOU LISTEN TO MY ASS. Oh, and i’m not from NC, just stationed here at FT Bragg, so bash away

@UrbanKnight12
stay in NC. because in AL FL GA ARK MIS, and Texas you are bound to get knifed legally by a CCW carrier if it comes to pass, laws do differ, so why are trying to push NC law on everyone as the law of the land? a tiny insignificant state with less than a fraction of the population of CCW holders of the states I mentioned. I know LEO’s who carry off duty and have a blade on them as back up, lesson of the day. NC CCW restrictions suck ass.

@JackSureshot , CCW laws change from state to state, in NC where i am , CCW means you can carry a HANDGUN concealed, try to conceal a knife, and you’re in violation of NCGS 14-269. just because it says CCW, doesn’t give you unlimited right to carry whatever the heck you want. When you went to your CCW class, did you guys have a portion on the range of knife throwing, stabbing, and how to properly swing a sword? I didn’t think so. I would urge you to read state laws before jumping in on a subject

@UrbanKnight12
you are wrong. CCW means concealed WEAPON, which can be any of the ones I mentioned, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. I encourage you to take a minute and visit your state’s dept of agriculture website and read through a few lines before jumping in on a subject. its not CCH, its CCW, WEAPON get it? and a knife, dagger, sword, qualifies every time, you obviously do not have a CCW since they tell you all the above in the class, only no no is brass knuckles,

CCW means you can carry a HANDGUN concealed. not a knife, baton, ect. Dont spread around bad rumers that can get people in trouble. If you had a CCW permit you would know this already.

if you really have a moisture problem, that your ammo out and place it in a bucket of moisture absorbers. I save those from packaged foods for drying out electronics or other stuff.

agreed, but i think it is all around safer to use hollow points for your carry or home defense. Also, there are several accidental shots fired each year due to people thinking their gun is unloaded or just being unsafe. the hollow point round would have a lesser chance of passing through a wall or floor and harming family friends or neighbors. I would also make the arugument that if you got shot with nearly anything unless your john rambo or high on meth your gonna be out of the fight.

Those shoulder holsters are a BAD idea.
If you carry that into a restaurant, you are muzzling EVERYONE behind you!!!!!!
bad bad bad bad design

True, but mostly conjecture. The amount of actual documented through and throughs causing serious civilian damage are nearly nil. I still carry JHP in everything EXCEPT my P32, which I carry ball.
January 28th, 2010 @ 7:16 pm
this is why people who carry concealed should think DAILY about different ‘what-if’ situations on whether they would engage or not. This is every bit as important as practicing your shooting itself; not just in my opinion, but in the opinion of many self defense experts. Think ‘what-if’ both in a self-preservation, preservation of others, AND legal context.

people forget, that a ccw means you can carry more than just a gun, that means a knife, batton and an array of weapons, personally i carry a gun and a knife (or 2). I never pull a gun first or show it, any asshole bothering me can see my switchblade and will know im probably carying a fire arm if they pull a gun or a knife then ITS ON.

Yup, I’ve seen a Glock 19 lay around for a year without being touched. Me and a friend took it to the range and put 200 rounds through it without a single jam.
If the mag isn’t defective or doesn’t have any burs then there’s nothing to worry about.
January 28th, 2010 @ 8:36 pm
Leaving your mag loaded will in no way cause a detrimental effect to the spring…constant expansion and compression cause failure.
Take a look at Hooke’s Law.

Thanks for carrying, kickedintheballs- you protect my wife and son…..and I protect yours….I love this country!
January 28th, 2010 @ 9:31 pm
if you use FMJ rounds, they will have a higher probability if passing threw the target to an inocent person. Better use hollow points.

@CaptainPicardX The element of suprise could be the very thing that saves you. Also, if your facing a clerk at a gas station and the robber comes in and sees your gun. This could be the very thing that gets you killed, because your the only challenge he has in that store.
