40 cal concealed carry glock

Posted on | February 8, 2010 | 25 Comments

Me shooting the 40 caliber concealed carry Glock with an extended clip, adding two rounds. Notice the proper stance: legs shoulder width apart, leaning forward with your shoulders rolled forward. This stance increases accuracy and consistency by reducing the effect the recoil has on your body. (You will rock much less and you will notice you have much more control over the pistol).

I believe clip is generally considered to refer to a stripper clip which would be used to load a magazine. They are not the same thing.

i agree that dude is a douche, and your tips on stance aren’t bad, but to join the bandwagon, its .40 caliber not 40. if it was 40 you’d be dead lol

It’s commonly accepted in slang terms that a clip is the same as a magazine, however they are two different things by definition. A clip, technically, is a device that holds rounds together so they can be loaded into a gun or magazine (like a stripper clip). Either way, most people know what you mean and only anal-retentive people would bother trying to discredit someone over using the word clip to mean a magazine.

How do you like that Glock?

Well if you know it all tell us all, what’s the difference between a magazine and a clip?

Thats a lie it has been proven that an attacker with a knife from 20ft away can close the distance adn fatally wound you in under 3 seconds…a shooting is self defence

Who said anything about self-defense? I am target shooting. Besides, if someone 20ft away was shooting at me, it would be self-defense if I shot back.

I suppose if I had called it a handgun you would’ve told me it’s a PISTOL, right? Magazine and clip are one and the same, don’t be an ass.

anything farther than 20ft really cant be argued as “self defense”

although proper target shooting stances are recognized…in life threating situations where instantneous response is crucial one may not have enough time to stand, set, aim, and fire.

There are two types of proper shooting stances.

Weaver as noted by thediscgolfkid and isosceles as described by the poster. Shooting in either has it’s advantages.

…and are you think skulled? If you watch the video, I’m shooting a 40 caliber glock and barely even rocking…your (50 caliber) magnum would have no effect on me…i don’t own one of i would show you.

hahaha really? you think? here’s something for you to think about ace…what is the stance a lineman in football takes? legs shoulder width apart get low and throw the shoulders forward. Why is this? because it is much harder to throw him off balance. Do this…stand up and have someone push you (not hard..justa little push on your shoulder) backwards. You will falter a few steps backwards. Then stand the way I described and have them push you with the same force. You will not falter.

no idea what you’re talking about, that is an old man cowboy stance, far away from proper, love to see you shoot a magnum caliber in that stance probably fall right backwards.

Finally someone that is smart… It is amazing how many people do stupid things in the woods and with guns…

I agree completely, it’s not good for the trees and can cause injury when the tree is eventually harvested or is cleaned up after it dies. I have hit bullets with a chainsaw and you really don’t want to do that.

Maybe you should have learned that it isn’t that goo to shoot into live trees… Look at your backdrop.
