What states do not require concealed carry permit?

Just like to have an idea about which states don’t have easy concealed carry laws. I remember someone said in Virgina you can open carry if you’re over 18 years old and living in New Jersey that shit blew my mind.
I see. What about open carry?

Vermont and Alaska are the only states that do not require a permit to carry a concealed handgun.

Yup, Vermont and Alaska don’t have any permits.
Uh, in CT you don’t have to have a separate CCW from your handgun permit… if that counts. Just sayin’ is all…

I live in alabama and recently heard that alabama was an open carry state. Which means you dont have to have a permit as long as the gun is not concealed. I talked to a game warden about a something different a few days ago and asked him about it and he said that alabama was an open carry but the law says that you cant get in a vehicle with it unless you have a conceal carry permit and that it was only open carry when outside all city limits. He said that its city ordinances that make it to where you have to have a permit and carry it concealed. But as long as your outside city limits and not in a vehicle you can carry it openly.
Add: Why the TD?
Alabama is a traditional open carry state. The only thing preventing it from being one of our “Gold Star” open carry states is their prohibition against carrying openly in a vehicle without a permit.- I just got that off a CONCEAL CARRY website. I hate it when people act like they know everything when they really know nothing.

Vermont and Alaska. Arizona tried to get that but the bill died. Maybe next year.
NJ has some of the strictest laws in the country, some would say worse than kalifornistan and pukeachusettes. The laws in many other states are much more lax and we have the lower crime rates to prove it.

only New Hampshire and Alaska. most of the states you can open carry if your old enough to own a handgun meaning you can have your handgun on a holster that every one can see it’s just can’t be loaded.

Yes, Virginia IS an open carry state. So are North/South Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, etc, etc, etc… There are quite a few states, check out the link below.
The problem lies with jerk offs that start shaking at the sight of a gun. So even though a state maybe an open-carry state expect to get scared looks from folks around you and a few, “Um, sir, I don’t meant to be a little ignorant b**ch, but you can’t bring THAT in here…”.
Sorry, sometimes I tend to get carried away when talking about gun rights…

I believe Texas allows you to carry at work and somewhere else, and going between those places and your home without a permit. Otherwise you’d need a permit.
As for open carry, I live in Kansas, I do it all the time. Local ordinance prevents you from stopping unnecessarily within 200 feet of an establishment that serves alcohol, otherwise it’s pretty open.
