Granted there are all kinds stupid things pacifist and anticarry prosicutors do, but never heard premed on a chambered round. Where I live, Michigan USA, an easy way to not get a conviction would be professiobal witness of a CC instructor. You have to have a class to be able to CC, and my instructor as long with many others, advize to have a round in the chamber. The lady who tought me teaches other instructors and SWAT teams, so she definitley has cred.

I’ve seen you doing some Nice ICS “Israeli Combat Shooting” for those who don’t know.

But try doing more of what the body does naturally which is hands out in your line of sight and be sure to fully extend your arms this way you never have to think about where to stop your extension your elbows do it automatically. Practice one handed rack on holster, belt, shoe.

I understand CC laws vary from country to country, but it’s more sensible to have one chambered if you’re carrying. Also, some people argue that actions are ‘premeditated’ if a round isn’t already in the chamber.

In some countries you cant carry one in the chamber, Israel for example.

I carry an XD with one in the chamber, Never use a thumb safety on a carry gun

Why waste the time to carry without one in the chamber? If you are proficient enough to carry and draw that quickly then why wouldnt you keep one in the chamber. Your just asking for trouble imho

Ah, a thumb can slip. Because a hand can’t. I’ve never had my thumb slip on my taurus. Maybe you’ve been dealing with guns that have safeties that are too small.

Don’t get me wrong a this guy is great but if he had hi back to the target and they were holding a gun he would be dead if he tried to draw his gun.

Unless you ordered one with a manual safety lever (which is NOT needed or standard since it already has a safety built into the trigger face AND a grip safety), I fail to see how this would be more effective.
I have 3 XDs, none with manual safety levers and never felt the need to carry without one in the pipe. Nor did I feel unsafe.

well with practice, yes… as you can see in this video… but a thumb can easily slip, its not the same as racking the slide

Reaching to the slide, getting a good grip, and racking it seems more effective than sweeping your thumb across a lever?

man i gotta give it to you, very good job… seems like practice well spent. i think this would go great with the Springfield XD… since most of them have no manual safety… racking the slide seems to be a more effective habit than getting your thumb to push the safety every time… good video!
